Secret #4
Stop eating when you are satisfied, not full
Your body has no interest in overeating ever. Only your mind overeats when it is afraid of future deprivation or when it wants to escape uneasy feelings. Your body wants to stop at satisfaction.
Satisfaction is when you:
are not hungry anymore; you feel comfortable.
don't feel the food in your body.
feel light and energetic after eating.
could eat more, but you could also wait.
find the flavor of the food begins to fade; it goes from fabulous to cardboard or sand.
are eating, and it becomes harder to give every bite your total attention.
If you eat what you want most first, you will become satisfied the fastest, and consume the fewest amount of calories.
Too full is:
any feeling of the food in your body.
loosening your belt.
pressing your chest or stomach due to acidic feeling.
feeling sluggish or sleepy.
feeling uncomfortable.
painful.
feeling lazy or tired.
feeling stuffed.
feeling drugged.
when clothing feels tighter than when you started eating.
